Ken D'Aran
Utilising Hahnemannian and Bönninghausen Roots as a Basic Teaching Platform to Create Uniformity and Standardisation for the Survival of Homœopathic Medicine in the Scientific World
Abstract
Before we can say, 'let's get over Hahnemann' in favour of the many popular modern interpretations rife on the International and National seminar circuits, and then inappropriately taught in undergraduate courses, we must have a correct and real understanding and respect of what was actually practiced in the name of Homœopathy as a starting point. If we share this understanding and teach (and learn) it this way we will remain a strong united body to survive the present and future onslaught to discredit and put to sleep this amazingly scientific, simple and effective form of medicine.
Ken will present and discuss the basic misunderstanding and misrepresentation of Homœopathy that continues to haunt and separate Homœopaths from each other causing mainly confusion in the public, scientific and government bodies.
Incorrect interpretation of basic definitions, (terminology), including aphorisms leading to misinformation or partial information of the application of Homœopathy in regards to teaching our science to undergraduates.
Missing gaps in our knowledge of Hahnemann and Bönninghausen as basic evolutionary thinking processes holds the key to what Hahnemann clearly defines as what we are to treat which profoundly effects case taking and analysis. How we are to treat which again strongly effects dosage résumés. These basis tenants that are often not taught or partially taught, or are taught incorrectly all around the world, creating a massive schism in the world of Homœopathy. It is no wonder we are looked lowly upon when we ourselves cannot agree on such fundamental theories and applications.
Biography
Ken is a full time practitioner of 27 years experience. Has been teaching Homœopathy since the late 1980’s and is still heavily involved at the 3 main teaching institutions in Sydney.
He has been President, Vice-President and Secretary of three Homœopathic associations (SCH, HANSW, AHA) over these years and was directly involved with the creation of the ‘National Competency Standards of Homœopathy’, as well as a National Executive of AHA, and a Founding member of Australian Registration Board (ARoH).
In more recent years Ken has been involved in monthly study meetings incorporating the research and correction of past translations of some of our historical ‘source’ materials that lay at the foundation of Homœopathy.
