Conference 2008

AHMC Steering Committee

During the past two years, the members of the conference steering committee have donated countless hours and untold energy to the task of making this conference the best possible occasion. Our cheerful committee met once monthly for 22 months and then twice a month in the final weeks with hundreds of hours spent in the planning. We had a great deal of fun in amongst the hard work, and many firm friendships were cemented. Sincere thanks to the AHMC steering committee for their hard work and beautiful energy!

Vicki Kennedy kept her fingers on the pulse of everything and everyone! Her ‘eagle eye’ saved us from many near disasters and her juggling skills ensured all bases were covered – all the time!

Maryanne Logan took on every job that ever needed doing with incredible generosity of spirit and a positive outlook. No matter how busy, she always fitted in more!

Kathy Harris sat at the helm of the steering committee and charted the course with skill, dexterity and warmth. Her vision, experience and sense of humour were priceless!

Lorraine Vine was, among many other things, our very fine financial overseer. She was on top of every detail and managed it all with great clarity and good cheer.

Christine Pope donned her marketing hat and delighted the committee with record numbers of sponsors and exhibitors, resulting in a solid budget and great opportunities.

Lesley Greig’s abundant energy, enthusiasm and research skills made her a ‘must-have’ committee member and ensured that we had all the information we needed at each and every stage.
